Empowering Women to Overcome Personal Struggles through Prayer
Under the leading of the Lord, I've written a number of anointed prayers for you, my readers, since starting this website in 2019. The wide range of topics included in the prayer journal below consists mainly of issues women carry close to their hearts, such as, praying for wayward adult children, praying for grace and strength to face the day, praying for wisdom and guidance to live a godly life, praying for protection and safekeeping for loved ones, praying for healing and comfort, and praying for spouses and marriages, to name a few.
No matter what you are struggling with in life, the Lord can be Your help. Lay aside personal issues and negative thinking, and believe that the Lord hears you when you pray.
"Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? if any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's, even so are we Christ's." (2 Corinthians 10:5-7 KJV)
Starting a Prayer Journal is the Best Thing I Ever Did
For over 25 years, I've been writing prayers to the Lord and now I have stacks of notebooks containing these prayers. Honestly, I've never really sat down to read the prayers again, because once I've written down what is on my heart, I commit the prayer to the Lord and put my trust in Him concerning the matter. But, I enjoy knowing there is a record here on earth of all my praying efforts! And if every I want to step back in time and experience bygone days, I can do it in a split second.
Writing prayers has been a habit of mine for a long time and has brought great peace into my life. Since I am a Christian woman, I understand the importance of having a prayer life. When I was younger, I wanted to develop a heart of prayer, but, I was easily distracted and couldn't focus. I tried creating prayer lists so I could stay on track, and I also tried reading books on "how to prayer better," in the hopes of growing in this area of prayer. Can you relate with me?
How and Why I Started Writing My Prayers in a Journal
The idea for a prayer journal began after I had my first baby, a little girl, and I loved her so much, and wanted the best for her life, and I wanted my prayers for her to be complete, and I wanted them to reach heaven. So, when I picked up her baby book and wrote about her life, I would also pick up a notebook and write a prayer for her life and future. Then, there was no turning back. I was hooked! Writing my prayers to the Lord has been such a blessing for me! Now, when I pick up my pen, or start typing my prayer, there is an immediate anointing on the things I share with the Lord or ask of Him.
How You Can Start Your Own Prayer Journal During a Busy Life With Demands On Your Time
If you haven't tried writing your prayers down yet, why don't you try now? All it takes is a little bit of time, a pen and paper. Or rather, while you are sitting at your computer, stop your online shopping, and type a letter to the Lord. Is there something weighing you down? Describe it to the Lord. Is something bothering you? Share it with the Lord. Tell Him what is on your heart. Share personal matters with Him, even matters that are for His ears and eyes only, then you will feel relief within your spirit, because the Lord will help carry the burden for you. Then commit the prayer or letter that you have just written or typed to Him, and discard of it. Throw it away, or delete the letter. You will be amazed at the release you feel within your spirit. Sometimes, I will do this at work, especially on difficult days.
God Knows Your Prayers Before You Say Them, So Have Faith God Hears All Your Prayers
God wants to meet with you in every situation and give you His peace. Scripture tells us to go to God right away, often, and first. It is so easy to search the internet for answers, and if you landed on this page, then God has directed you to read these words: Come to me, all you who are heavy-hearted and learn of me, and find peace and rest for your soul.
Spend time reading this journal of prayers for inspiration and encouragement. Never give up praying, and always have faith, God sees all we do, and knows our prayers before we speak of them.
