Learn how to seek God first and find lasting joy by placing faith, trust, and daily cares into His loving hands.
Seek God First and Find Joy
To seek God first is to place Him above every worry, desire, and plan. When we choose to seek God first, we discover a deeper joy that does not depend on circumstances. This joy flows from trusting God’s guidance, resting in His promises, and walking daily in His presence. For women of faith, seeking God first is not about perfection—it is about surrender, faithfulness, and a heart turned toward Him.

Why Seeking God First Changes Everything

-
Matthew 6:33, gives us a Biblical foundation for seeking God first, if we seek the kingdom of God first, "all these things" will be added unto us.
-
Proverbs 3:5-6, advises us to trust God with our priorities and commit them to Him, and God in His mercy and love, will direct our paths.
-
Philippians 4 encourages us with hope of receiving the peace of God that passes all understanding if we embrace the things we have learned, heard, and received.

Finding True Joy Through Faith in God
-
Difference between happiness and joy: Happiness is frequently described as an emotional reaction to "happenings," while joy is viewed as a conscious choice, attitude, or spiritual state.
-
We are reminded to keep our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, and not on our circumstances with the words of a beloved hymn:
-
"Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace."
-
-
Daily surrender and trust in the Lord renews our joy
-
"Joy of the Lord is Your Strength," Nehemiah 8:10
